and I thought kids was bad...
Well it just got worse as this week for my sins I'm managing the centre. It came about as the manager for the season has left, to go and become a dentist! Someone else is taking over ( not me thank God) but as luck would have it he has his week off this week so they needed someone else. And looking round at the rest of the staff it was me!
Actually running the centre isn't that much of a problem, by this stage of the season most people know what to do and it's just a case of a nudge here and there and a gentle slap if they step out of line.
However there are whole departments in Brighton who seem to think we have nothing better to do than put together statistics and questionaires for them to ignore when they make decisions. Strange as I'm normally on the other side of the fence in the UK!! Then there's the film crew coming out next week so rooms have to be arranged , oh and then they'd like a tower built. With what and by who were my first two questions.
On top of all that the wind has been shit this week so I don't expect great feedback! Still I didn't want to be a manager in the first place!
Home in two weeks - deep joy!

Just back from the isle of Skye. I'm telling you, you're the wrong place for wind! Oh and there's rain too if you're interested. All's well here. Glad to hear your personnel skills are still holding up, not to mention leadership or divine intervention.
Looking forward to seeing you back in the UK, back at work like the rest of us. Simes

And I always had you as the office manager type - I thought it would be right up your street. Ever considered a career in child care????? Looking forward to catching up mate - I'll get that first weights session booked!
